Royal Mail - Prioritising parcel deliveries

We have been seeing quite a lot of delays with parcels we have been posting out in the last few weeks, which is understandable, given the current circumstances. We have also seen delays in items reaching us

Royal Mail, like many other companies, appear to have been struggling with staff absences due to Covid-19 related illnesses and staff self isolating

They have now announced that, for the next few weeks, they will only be delivering parcels and other priority items, such as Special Delivery and Signed For on Saturdays, to try and clear any parcel backlogs at sites

Services delivered on a SaturdayWe will temporarily no longer deliver letters on a Saturday from 2 May. Letters will be delivered as normal from Monday to Friday. We will resume the six-day-a-week delivery of letters and parcels from June 13.
